The next weekend Andrea Piccini will come back on track: the 35 year-old driver from Sansepolcro will be at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 GT3 for the International GT Open race. In the first round of the GT european series, Andrea will share the car with Giorgio Roda, promising young driver and son of Gianluca Roda, who for several years running in the most important international endurance races paired with Paolo Ruberti. Ruberti will be also teammate of Giorgio in GT Open but in the same weekend there's the second race of the FIA ​​WEC and he will be there with GIorgio's father. Andrea Piccini becomes the substitute chosen by the AF Corse, an important opportunity for the italian driver who returns, after many years, to race with an italian top brand as Ferrari. "I'm obviously very happy – says Piccini before his departure to Germany – I remember my debut and my victories with BMW' Ferrari 550 in FIA GT many years ago with Jean -Denis Deletraz. Hopefully Giorgio can liveive an equally thrilling debut. I will do my best to support him in the beginning of this wonderful adventure." The free practices on Friday 2nd , will be followed by qualifying from 11:20 to 11:55 on Saturday 3rd. In the afternoon, at 16:00, the start of Race 1 while Race 2 will start at 13.00 on Sunday 4th.
