After the Le Mans 24 Hours, Andrea Piccini and his team mates, Sergio Pianezzola and Claudio Schiavoni, return on track together with Kessel Racing’s Ferrari 488 GTE for the third round of European Le Mans Series, scheduled next weekend at Circuit de Catalunya, in Barcelona. A race that promises to be challenging due to the technical characteristics of the spanish racetrack. “The Le Mans marathon – Piccini said – has allowed everyone to drive the car a lot and improve the feeling with it. It was an opportunity to run at night and to get even more in tune with the long-lasting races and with all that they entail in terms of concentration. With these premises – and therefore with an additional awareness of our potential – we are preparing to face the 4-hour race in Barcelona, on a short track (4.655 meters with 16 turns) and quite winding, so it will be important to be able to disentangle in the inevitable traffic that will be created, paying attention to those who are in front and at the same time to those who are pressing from behind. As always, we will aim as high as possible“. The weekend starts on Friday 19th at 2.30 pm with the first free practice session, followed by the second at 9.30 pm. Saturday 20 is the main day, with the qualifications at 10.40 and the start of the race at 6.30 pm, so the 10.30 pm epilogue will be under artificial light again.
