Andrea Piccini and his team mates, Sergio Pianezzola and Claudio Schiavoni, are looking forward to the second round of 2019 European Le Mans Series campaign. The Kessel Racing trio is ready to fight in Monza, the homerace, on the Ferrari 488 GTE. After the positive test day last wednesday, they are confident both for qualify and race: “The first event in Paul Ricard – commented Andrea Piccini – gave us the confirm about how this championship is demanding; we find ourselves fighting with extremely competitive opponents and we know that it will not be easy to jump on the podium. We will however try to bring home an important result, which will allow us to earn as many points as possible“.
In Monza, the stimuli will be stronger than ever. “Of course! The hope is that the weather conditions are favorable: Monza is an old-fashioned, very fast track; in case of rain the visibility becomes very low and the margins of error almost zero. The test last Wednesday was positive and the car performed well both in dry and wet conditions.”
The free practices will start at 11.15 on Friday 10 and at 9 on Saturday 11, both with a duration of one and a half hours, while the qualifications of the LM-GTE are scheduled for 1.40 pm, again on Saturday, with a duration of 10 minutes. The four-hour race will follow, whose start will be given at 12 on Sunday.
