Two weeks later from the wonderful Spa-Francorchamps result, where he won the prestigious 24 Hours with an Audi R8 LMS Ultra together with Rene Rast and Frank Stippler, Andrea Piccini will be back on track this weekend: the tuscany driver will race on austrian circuit of Zeltweg to take part in the race valid for the ADAC GT Masters championship, which always sees the GT cars in the role of protagonist. This weekend the Tuscan driver will be behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 together Gottfried Grasser. "It's every time a pleasure to come back in Austria, I have many friends here, so I couldn't say no at this invite – said with a smile Andrea Piccini – For me is the return on this circuit 11 years after the Formula 3000 season with the European Minardi Team. Zeltweg has been my second home for some years at the beginning of my career when I ran for Penker Racing, team located few kilometers far from the circuit. I raced with Walter Penker's team in 1997 German championship and in 1998 European Formula Opel Lotus. Many reasons, including the emotions, forced me to come to Austria, where on Zeltweg in 2001 was author of my best race in Formula 3000, managing to finish in 5th place after starting in 26th position."
