At the end, both Piccini brothers will race in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. For Andrea, his participation was announced few months ago, a key race in his 2012 season. The other team is the same that got the win in Le Mans 24 Hours: Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Tom Kristensen, the last nicknamed "Mister Le Mans" for having won 8 times 24 Hours on the legendary french circuit. "We worked hard to prepare this race, which for me is the most important of the year – said Andrea Piccini before his departure to Belgium – and the ambition is the same as 2011; as you remember, everything was smoothly until the gearbox problem. In the end, without problem I'm sure we will fight for the podium." And earlier this week, even for Giacomo Piccini came the call to Spa: he will drive a Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3 in the category reserved for "amateurs" with other three drivers under the Kessel Racing flag. For the younger of the two drivers from Sansepolcro, the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will be an opportunity to get a little experience with the italian car of the Prancing Horse.
